[Audyssey] stfc a few basic questions

Hi, gamers,

1.  I understand the four squares that comprise the four star systems, but 
with the sectors A-1 through E-5, is this the entire universe or is there an 
A-1 through E-5 in each star system?

2.  When I had selected photon torpedoes to fire, the menu had numbers like 
30, 45, 60, etc?  Is this the photon power level based on the amount of main 
power the selected ship has?

3.  About how far does a star ship travel at warp one?

4.  Is it possible to raise and lower shields and add power to the shields?

Sorry if these questions appear stupid but in my first game on the beginner 
level, I was totally destroyed without destroying a single enemy ship.
