[Audyssey] Cant connect to a mud

Hi all,
I am trying to connect to a Swedish mud but when I connect and try to enter a username nothing happens. The username prompt is still there and I have tried pressing enter but nothing happens. I am using Windows Hyper terminal. It seem to work fine in Microsoft Telnet but Swedish characters don't work well there. Any ideas what might cause this problem?
