Hi Jacob,
 From what I have read about DirectX 10 the majority of DirectX 10 is 
almost completely all managed code for .NET developers. It is suppose to 
have some backward compatible libs for older apps that use DirectX, but 
I am not as yet certain as to how far back DirectX supports. I know for 
sure it will support DirectX 9 apps, but I am not sure about DX 8 and 
earlier. This is something I will be testing in depth once Vista is 
fully up and running.
the newbies programming list is called agdev-newbies and I believe the
